i was wondering if its a good idea to wait until towards the end of the
year to buy a motorbike ( possibly a Kawasaki KLE 500).
I am just thinking manufacturers or dealers may do offers then to
revive dwindling sales as the winter draws near.
Do sales dwindle then, I am only assuming they do, and has anyone
spotted any regular sales times please?

folks, thanks for all the info and suggestions, I have only just done
my cbt and am about to learn on direct entry, i am one of those mid
life people who decide they need a bike. I picked up on the KLE 500
partly because of cost, its cheaper than most others, but also very
significantly because I have read reviews of how comfortable it is,
comfortable counts over speed . I like the idea of being high up and
upright in town traffic, and also to see around country lanes easier, i
definitely don't want a heads down riding position, i have ridden a
mountain bicycle for many years and like the moderate off road capacity
the kle500 has. It seems to have it all for me, i have looked at the
others but the reviews I have read aernt as good in terms of comfort
and they cost more. I will give them all a try when the time comes
though, hopefully in a few months time, many thanks for the replies
    upto now.

I had a KLE500 some years ago - it's really neither fish nor fowl. It's not
that great on the road (I found it seemed to catch sidewinds) and it's
certainly not really any good off it. However, it was fine for what we
needed at the time, which was basically a winter hack. The ex liked it, I
didn't particularly and soon as the better weather came back in, we chopped
    it in for a ZZR600.
