My VF500 is suffering from shite in the carbs, seems not all of it came out
    first time round.

Whats the best stuff for getting rid of petrol varnish and gum?

Believe me I've felt like getting the WD40 and a lighter to it!
Carbs on the V4 motor are a nightmare to get on and off.

If only I hadnt blown up the GPZ6... ...doh!

Cheap cellulose paint thinners (gun wash) £7 for 5 litres. Break carbs
into lumps soak for a couple of hours in the thinners.

  5. You are talking to someone who knows about carbs on a V4 :-(

Get 'em offf and do your best with carb-cleaner - strip 'em right down
    and scrub them feckers.

I used gun cleaner on my GT carbs but only had limited results, so they went
through the dishwasher a few times - did a great job!
