  1. Hoohoohoo! :)

Wasn't that the Woolworths brand? Should be in for some cut price bargain
    outfits there!

On a serious note.... what would you say is the value of a CBX750 Bol
    D'Or?

Not many around, and about a grand seems to be what's asked for them.

Forget about how sick in the head you have to be to want one ;-)

    Thanks. It's a bit of a result.
I'll let her respond to that one next time she sees you ;-)
Well, for some reason, it appears to be a 'corporate social
responsibility' thing for 'required users' - ie. anyone in a field
    training role.

Shame, I love my 156 Wagon, but at least the redundancy payment means we
    can keep it.

It would appear to be the most expensive Christmas present I've ever
    given, or even received.

  5. A grand tops. Any more than that and you're straying into CB750
territory - same engine, basically, in a better chassis.

Aye, but you can't get a CB750 with a fairing, and I'm taken in with the
    retro-ness of the CBX.

I know you can get Wingracks for them, too - which is handy as I have a
full set of cases in the garage.

At my local "Sound Control" (as was, PM as now is) there's a Prius always on
the car park so I asked the guitar tech who owned it, fully expecting it to
belong to one of the upper management types.

Oh no though, it belonged to the one known as "Frodo" who looks remarkable
LIKE Frodo and who's abut the same age (late teens/early 20's). I later saw
him drive it and **** me did it suit his driving style (if "style" is a term
    that could be used).

Some people are fucking BORN old.

Interesting... but potentially flawed when it comes down to the actual
predicted costs per mile; how have they come up with a predicted lifespan of
300k miles for the Hummer and 100k miles for the Prius?

  11. "The Hummer, on the other hand, costs a more fiscal $1.95 per mile to
put on the road over an expected lifetime of 300,000 miles."

Who, in their right mind, would do 300K in one of those? Which
immediately casts doubt on all the other figures quoted in that article,
including the 'massive container ships'. Since when are bulk ore
carriers, 'massive container ships'? Anyway, BOCs are bloody efficient
at shifting lumps of rock per mile.

I see the article's point, and I'm not disagreeing with the basic
premise of it, that Priapisms are not as cool as they're made out to be,
but I do prefer some honesty in reporting.

To be honest I wasn't really looking at the Hummer bit, it was more
the description of the nickel production for the batteries.
