How dodgy is a *VERY* slightly bent throttle needle?

Once I get a response from the parts supplier, a new needle, emulsion tube &
main jet are going on the shopping list anyway - the previous owner mucked
about with the carb, but to what extent?!

Trouble is, delivery could be a week or two!

    Thanks.

  2. If the jet needle rubs against the needle jet orifice as it goes up
and down and wears it to an oval or egg shape, it will always drool a
little excess fuel and you won't be able to lean out the idle mixture
    by turning the mixture screws.

It's kind of hard to notice a slightly egg shaped hole, and this
problem occurs more frequently in semi-downdraft carbs, such as on an
FZR750 or FZR1000 Genesis motor where the cylinders are inclined at a
35~45 degree angle, depending on the year...
