    Beggars belief!
I'm buying another bike - so need dual bike cover.
Bennetts can't provide it, and they quoted more for the new bike alone than
Carole Nash quoted for both together!
So naturally I go for Carole Nash!

Come to cancel with Bennetts, they want 30% of the policy PLUS a
cancellation fee, and a reason why - in writing.

Anybody thinking "100 lines for cancelling your policy Mr F"??

    Thieving, condescending gits!
Well that's probably the last time I deal with them.

Hmmm.... I've just switched from Auntie Carole to Bennetts 'cos Auntie
Carole was fucking me around with price and cover. For me, Bennetts
were cheaper & gave better cover.

    Horses for courses.

year after it will be Bennetts turn again and the year after that.....

I am in my first year with CN and want to build some NCB, if I sell my bike
when the policy runs out and I do not renew my insurance till I find another
bike (3 or 4 months later say) will I lose the NCB I earned in the first
    year?

    TIA, D

No. NCB is good for a couple of years layoff.

But make sure you keep the paperwork from the cancelled policy.

I noticed with my Bennetts renewal, they gave a statement of my NCB to
date - very handy! This is my first time with Auntie Nash, so will be
interested to see what I get in a years time. So just keep this handy
record, and yes indeed the policy statement does actually mention 2 years
    retention!

    I haven't got a fucking clue.

It seems to me though, with the kind of policies I get sold, that the
biggest discounts come from no points, not riding a BAB suicide note,
extreme age, umpteen winters of experience, a well decent postcode and a
    high estimated annual mileage.

Mind you I suppose that given that I haven't had a claim for at least 15
years and I have an ncb automatically protected for the first half dozen
or so claims probably does help a bit.

Gosh how I snigger when reading these threads.

So far their service has been very good, and I seem to always speak to the
same chap (Steve), who also rides a bike. Spoke to them yesterday about the
possibility of switching bikes from the CB to a Zephyr 1100, which was
confirmed as a whopping £20 additional premium, or £135 to add it alongside
    the CB.

Ho hum, decisions decisions (anyone who knows about bikes fancy coming to
    look over a Zephyr?)

I have to say I'm glad not to be the only one!
Seems to be a sickness of business in this country, "let's piss off our
regular, reliable customer as much as possible".
It's not just the way they conduct business, it's the condescending way they
talk to you "Tough Mr Shitbag for spending your money with us for the past 4
    years"!

Fuckem, fuckem all! It's not just insewerance companies, it's any financial
    company in this country!
    RAAAANT!

Anyway, I've got 9 years NCD, and like I'm bothered they'll cancel the last
month and a bit for cancelling, it's about time they learnt customer care.
