I have mixed feelings about them, I quite like how they look but I
would be worried about reliability and backup; which I fear is the
price you pay for exclusivity. I'd love to have a go on one though but
I don't think many dealers will have demonstrators. If I was given the
choice between any Italian bike I probably would go for an Aprilia
RSV. I've yet to find anything that suits me better then my current
    bike.

A friend of a friend has one and he loves it. He previously
owned Ducatis, so was used to fickle bikes, but his first
(and very early model) one gave him so much trouble that it
eventually went back and was swapped for a new one.

He's not had any trouble with it since, and says that he
wouldn't go back to another Ducati now either. The bike has
been to Spain and back, over the Pyranees, and numerous
trips to France and Assen for SBK, along with the odd
    track day.

Don't know what the depreciation is like (TOG will be along
very shortly) but I guess that only matters if you're
swapping it for something else when next season's colours
    come out...

Drop me an email if you want me to put you in touch.

I'd worry about catching my nuts on the tank.
