So the Motogp teams cannot use more than 14 fronts and 17 rears per
race weekend (or thereabout) but can burn a couple of dozen pairs the
following few days? The FIM ruling was meant to reduce tyre use by the
top teams and so lessen the developement gap for the satelite teams.
just look how the likes of Kawasaki, Ducati, Suzuki etc have jumped on
    this loophole. Bloody disgrace.

Ahh, the smell of vindication in the morning, it smells like, well, tires...

Heh, heh, pretty funny stuff coming from a Limey, but somehow I get the
feeling there's going to be a retort, or five...

Oh, I don't doubt that. But the rule would have never been adopted
without Michelin's signoff, so they had to be okay with it in the end.
I suspect even they didn't realize how dependent they are on the wide
variety of tires they produce. Bridgestone probably has been producing
fewer variants, so had less to lose when options were reduced. Throw
in more relative advancement and Michelin is in trouble.

What will be interesting is what happens now. There is talk about the
teams making their tire calls after Friday practice, so having one day
to zone in on the picks. I can't imagine Bridgestone liking that with
the way it's gone, but will the FIM/Dorna shove it down their throats
anyway, for the sake of "competition"? That still stops the Overnight
Magic Tires from France, but would allow for less guess work.

Me, I never liked the rule in the first place, and thought it would
end up being a Big Deal...

Nah, why bother? The "pussy" hides behind his plonk wall anyway and
won't engage in serious debate on the issues of the day, choosing
instead to lob his handfulls of jackass sh*t over that wall...

Btw, has the E-word become the N-word of this group? The non-Es aren't
allowed to use it at all, but the Es throw it around like candy on
    Halloween? Hmm...

Of course the next question is, would you recommend starting a race
team to join Motogp when after blowing a few thousand quid of tyres
during the weekend, some dickhead rider then says you have got to do
the same again but more so after the race meeting. I know thats not
the only variable but this looks like clear abuse to me within a sport
    that could do without it.
