Belt drive for T140 - vfm ???

I'm need to replace the primary drive chain on my 25 yr old trumpet, but
have been advised to fit a belt drive instead. At £300 squids a throw, it
seems a costly mod, especially as the original chain lasted 15k. The teeth
on the clutch & drive cog look ok, so I can't see any good reason to change,
but would appreciate any advice from those who may have been here before me.

 

My brother put a primary belt on his T140V and he reckoned it made the
bike a *lot* smoother.
