Mental aren't they. I couldn't believe the price of the modern
equivalent of the trialsmaster or whatever it was called when I had one.
Rubbish they are too. No matter how frequently I re-waxed mine it always
leaked.

 

Do you mean Conduit Street, where Belstaff's Mayfair store is? On your
way to Rigby & Peller, perchance? That's certainly where I was heading
last time I passed Belstaff's.

I have a Belstaff leather bike jacket and it is just lurvely, mind.

 

Belstaff, jeans and /docs/ - I'll have you know.

Although, for some reason my Belstaff is a little more grubby than that
one but I could do spangly too if I sprinkled it with glitter.

The ones I have had have always been fine - not as toasty as the modern
textiles but was fine on a very wet run to Croatia - so wet it caused a
marine animal to crash.

It [1] did start to leak after 5 hours of constant rain but I wasn't too
unhappy.

Some of my Italian colleagues seemed to be very taken by Belstaff as a
brand. Nothing to do with biking.
