    Oops, looks like it wasn't quite clear what I wrote.

    You know that the ABS on these bikes is notorious for being very
    sensitive to the battery's voltage, right?

    The PO was starting the bike with the headlight turned on, which
    obviously didn't help matters that much. That's the first thing I
    noticed and I've made a point of never starting any of my ABS-equipped
    Ks with the headlight on for exactly that reason.
