Beer gets very lonely ...

Discussion in 'Australian Motorcycles' started by Dave Milligan, Jan 8, 2005.

  1. stuck in bottle shops overnight.

Do your local brewer (and there's lots of small quality producers in
Australia now) a favour and go buy a few half dozen packs to take
    home.

I cleared my conscience today with the purchase of some Coopers Dark,
Rogers Beer (WA), some James Squire Porter, Beez Neez and some Natural
    Blonde from Mirboo North.

Yeah, I know it's a weird mix, but I can honestly say my conscience is
well and truly clear with that purchase. Well, that and the donation
to the Tsunami appeal and now all I need to make the day complete is a
comfy chair in front of the tv and a couple of cold ones.

    Fridges are wonderful things!

Kind regards & Happy New Year

I'm my own local brewer, and my conscience is clear. It's my memory that's
    cloudy.

Happy Needle Nardle Noo to you too, Millgoon

noice...would like to try the Coopers Heritage....
Dunno about that one but am interested in a taste test....
    noice...the Pilsener is noice too.....
Once again, would like a taste test...
May have had this one but not sure. Have tasted plenty from the Grand Ridge
Brewery (9 of 'em up at http://www.grand-ridge.com.au) and have liked them
all so far...interesting to note that they claim to be the most awarded
brewer of beers in the world.

Might have to arrange a visitation to your abode in March 06 when
SWMBO and myself will be touring Tas (prior to the Aged Feckless
Bikers Club AGM) to further assist with rehabilitative conscience
    clearing therapy.

We're .... Oh, bugger the PC based event diary (Organise - Quick &
Easy) can't find it's data.... so I don't know what day we arrive on
    the ferry.

Have approx 10 days touring from Ulverstone to Strahan, Hobart,
Bicheno & Launceston then back to Ulverstone for the AGM and a weeks
work. More interested in seeing the local areas than riding thousands
of kms as we may consider buying a small plot of land on which to
build a home if and when we can ever afford to retire.

    Aye, Lad.

From Fremantle this one. I recommend more than one taste test.

    My favourite from the GRB.
Maybe they just enter more beers into more categories in more brewing contests
than any other brewers. I always find it amusing when a brewer or wine maker
has a medal from years prior displayed on their label. Says to me that in the
years since, when they didn't get a medal, there was a better drink, maybe I
should be hunting it down and buying that one instead.

James Boag Premium is my current beer of preference, but Redback bitter is

March 06?! I don't even buy a bottle of red these days unless I plan to
drink it that night, let alone plan things fifteen months ahead. You'll be
    most welcome, of course.
Look forward to seeing you. It will be National Tasmanian Unaugural Ausmoto
    Dinner time, too.

    Red, you say?

If I remember I'll bring a bottle of Vasse Felix Cabernet Merlot from
Margaret River in WA. It's our latest fav drop.
NTUAD is something I have not yet had the pleasure of. We will be
    there.

Looking forward to catching up again. How's your tour guide skills?

    Kind regards
