  3. And I have lived in the Hill of Pigs for ~ 16 years now..

Mind you it doesn't stop them bleating every year that they need more
money because "they have all those Royals to protect and Stonehenge to
look after and Glastonbury to manage etc etc". [1]

I have never *actually* been stopped by the them - but I have been done
twice by mobile speed guns - once after a dual-carriageway in Swindon
went from 50 to 40 and once doing 46 in a 40 zone. And the second time
I didn't even see the camera - apparently they have a new grey roadside
remote unit so they can park the actual van round the corner..

And guess what? All the radio adverts about speeding seem to feature
    motorbikes..

    Phil.

[1] No Royals left in Wiltshire, Stonehenge doesn't need policing any
more and Glastonbury is in Somerset. So a whinge consistent with the
truth value in the "safety" camera adverts.

    Phil Launchbury says...
It's not Royals who eat up the budget, it's one-time Northern Ireland
secretaries who live in the county. They are guaranteed protection for
the rest of their born days when they take on the position.
