Apparently they don't have one. Yesterday, on two occasions I saw local
trafpol riders on bikes wearing obviously illegal very dark tinted
visors on their Arai helmets. If it's good enough for them, it's good
    enough for me.

On goes the iridium visor for trips into work, when the sun is right in
my eyes as I'm heading east. I'll carry the clear one in the top-box,
for the trip home in the dark.

suprised to read in the MCN I was given at the show today that even
passengers can be done for wearing an illegal dark visor!

On what basis? That the visor doesn't have a safety mark?

What is the status with the safety mark thing now that we're sort of Europe
for the blue stickers, but apparently not for visors...?

On both Shoei's I've had, the helmet has had a BSI sticker, but the Visor
has had EU markings - the exact same markings
as the dark and irridium visors I've got.

I found an iridium visor for my Uvex at the show today, for 50 quid. I
naturally didn't buy it, because to do so would have laid the supplier
and myself open to prosecution. Besides, I already have one that was
given to me by my former employers, for those times when I ride abroad
    :)

Where have you been? It's so stupid that even were your pillion a
registered blind person he can still get done for an iffy visor.
Actually I'd like to see this one tried in court, perhaps plod would get
a bollocking for wasting the courts time.
