  1. Good show, but not too loud, a lot of people will get very upset. A
recent "Trading Places" type doco had a white caucasion become Asian,
and a black guy become white.

The newly become Asian's wife seemed to be quite upset, but his son
    thought it was dead cool.
Roots was a great story even though later the premise was found to
possibly erroneous - whilst the lineage in the Sates was fairly
straightforward the link to Senegal? was tenuous.
You'd be pissed off if you were Adam Ant.
If only Babylon had know this when they fighting in a Brixton riots in
1981, that they destroying their own cousins hang out at the "All Star
    Take Away".

Me still don't think if me address police constable as "cousin" he let
    me go?

From a shortening or corruption of "original", perhaps?

  5. that's a bit of an oversimplification though, but for good reason.
For one, the interaction between photons and matter is not 100%
understood. And for two, high energy particles can be thought of
as a high energy photons (thanks Heisenburg!). So basically the
difference in interaction is due to an energy difference, and that
is not understood properly (see point 1).
and what Ivan has described is often proposed as a cosmic ray
particle detector mechanism. However, it does require a very large amount
of "medium", and so a large number of detectors to detect said visible
light. A continental sized bit of, say, ice is suggested. Now, if onlu
one where avaliable (looks pointedly at Norht Pole)
