absolutely. Perhaps you should go for it. The dark blue is my personal
favourite colour; the silver is the ****'s choice.

I was talking about (older) Porkers and Ferraris with Kiran at the last
London drinks. I think that when I move house in a couple of year's
time, and have somewhere to park it, I'll just keep the Jeep until it
breaks and use it just for bulk shopping, and on the very rare
occasions I go somewhere in the car with the kids, and then buy a
late-80s vintage 911 or even something like a Ferrari 328GTS as a bit
    of a toy.

In the dry the rear wheel drive car is much much preferable, wet the 4
is a scorcher, depends where you live and how you drive. On sand covered
    roads the 4 deffo.

Price seems good unless the miles are huge.

Silver is the least depreciating choice
993 model air cooled Turbo with mega fin. Laugh a minute.

probably. But it's a bit fucking common, at least in London.
especially in the wet, of course.

Actually, it is the whale-tail one I'm interested in - proper
    in-your-face pre-stock-market-crash wanker-mobile. In red, obviously.

Agreed. Am very tempted. Just not sure how long I'm going to be
    /exactly here/.
Get one. We can have races, and stuff.

If I get one, I'll bring it home when the time comes.
Pretty low, I think. 60k kms, maybe.

the mid-term plan is to move house in about 24-30 months time, and an
absolutely-unwaivable criteria will be to have both a garage and
(ideally secure) off-street parking. If things go to plan, I'll
definitely get some sort of semi-unpractical sportscar - it'll be
    mid-life crisis time,
    up and down the A127!

    Relatedly, your 200SX - does it have a semi-personalised reg with "200"
as the number part? I ask because I was heading down the A13 to
    Southend[1] last Sunday, and a blue 200SX with a big-bore exhaust like
yours and "200" in the reg went past me near the Basildon turn-off
    doing about 120mph...

[1] Angie suggested going; I'd never been; I vaguely wanted to see the
    French-produce market. It was rubbish.

Don't think it was mine, unless the squaddie I flogged it to got one.
Apart from the reg number, it sounds like mine...
There's a decent farmer's market at Barleylands around Christmas. We
went there the year before last and got some good home-made wine and
    cheese and meat.

this was mostly things like stalks of garlic, various smoked parts of
dead animal, rubbish-looking cakes and pastries, and "Hand made"[1]
"french" jewelry, leathergoods and stuff made out of string and cane.
Oh, and Maille brand mustard at about 3 times what you'd pay for it in
    a UK supermarket.

[1] presumably in Vietnam or Taiwan.
