The more 'other' people die in accidents, the less likely it is to
happen to me. Trust me on this, I work in Statistics, you know.

The statistic frequently quoted is that one third of adult males in the
UK have a criminal conviction. Therefore, assuming the sample to be
    male, they are relatively law-abiding.

Any statistic quoted in the media is best taken as likely to be
spurious, misunderstood or just plain wrong.

Crikey, wouldn't have thought you watched that! It "was on" (after
I'd watched "Grand Designs"), so I let it play, and saw the bloke with
the man boobs. But then, after 15 minutes, I realised that, tho
mildly titillating (groan), it was utter, utter pap.

When I'm not fettling my bike I spend most of my time playing Unreal
Tournament, actually. Which means I spend all of my time playing Unreal
    Tournament.

no, I don't generally watch it - I was in exactly the same boat as you,
and only saw the man-boobs bloke because it was on after "Grand
Designs", and also gave up after about 15-20 minutes.

You didn't watch "Property Ladder" before, did you? **** me, that made
my blood boil. I don't normally watch it, but it kept distracting me
from my book - two silly bitches fucking up a perfectly nice art-deco
house and loosing 80k in the process.

No - I can't abide "property" programs (which seem to represent about
25% of evening programming at the moment).

what were you doing watching "Grand Designs" then?

I generally hate them too, but it was on, and I couldn't get into my
book enough to stop watching/take the book into another room.

I don't even know what "X Factor" or "The Green Wing" are, and I'm
    long-ago bored of "The Simpsons".
Into "Spongebob Squarepants" in a major way right now, though.

I think he means The West Wing. If he doesn't, then I don't know what
    it is either.

If only there was some kind of easily-accessible resource that one could use
    to check these things out...

    Ho hum.
