    Anyone up for it?
I rode the roads today and it really is Biking Nirvana.
    Fairly early start. Well 9ish.
Start from the BP by the old Derby Digger in Wickford
or Rettendon Lodge. I'll sort Streetmap if anyone's up for it.
Ride the main road into Burnham on Crouch then have breakfast in the cafe.
Followed by a play on the hidden gems like the road to Latchington and then
    a ride out to Bradwell.
TBH, I'd rather just do the ride and not bother with breakfast but I'm open
    to negotiation.

Everyone welcome; fast or slow. I'll print maps for the fast bods so they
can go off on their own.

    There's nothing I'd like more.
    It's good stuff, yeah.
I'm dreaming of a run down to Burnham, back to Latchingdon, then to
Bradwell, then back to Latchingdon past Mayland. Then through Maldon
to Witham, Braintree, Finchingfield, Thaxted, Saffron Walden.

The road to Thaxted is a peach.
    Maldon to Colchester looks interesting.

Never ridden it. I've never ridden up that way without the
    destination being the objective.
One week today. Doubt I'll get any riding time, though - the only
free time I have is Thursday daytime. I'll need to figure out how to
get the 400 Four from darsy, though, or I'll be going out for a ride
    on the 6v CD200.

Beware small white tin boxes coming the other way on your side of the
road. I met one of these coming the other way rod a bend in the
Kelvedon area on Tuesday. Totally spoilt the line I was intending to
    take he did. ****.

We haven't had much rain recently and all the little back roads are
covered in dust and marbles. Do take care out there.

Where is it now? Your place?

Probably adds a whole load of complications - unless darsy doesn't
care if it lives with my parents for a while.

    My head hurts.

It's the Essex Air Ambulance run this sunday - Dunton
to Harwich - so you might want to avoid some of the
route they are likely to go.

My place is easy to get to by public transport, or if you're somewhere
semi-sensible, I can come and collect you.
if you can collect the 7R from Simon, and then leave it at your
parents, this actually makes things easier for me, as later on I can
then ride the 400 four over there and the 7R back.

Arse - busy this weekend, otherwise I would have been. Rode the BBB on
Monday, as it happens. Totally quiet from Burnham onwards as usual, as
everyone else was just doing the Burnham Bends. Their loss.

I've actually found myself avoiding them as I find them frustrating. I
always seem to get stuck behind something.
Even when I do ride them I can't seem to go balls out.

It's really just a question of when. I've only really got Thursday.
Yes, I thought that. It would be perfect to grab it when I'm finished
in Bournemouth on Wednesday night, and ride it home. But I'll have a
cabin-baggage size suitcase, and a laptop. Would *lots* of bungees do
    the job?

this coming Thursday? I'm in Paris in the morning, though I'll be back
in London in the afternoon. Angie should be in though, so it should be
possible for you to pick it up any time, in theory. Let me know, and
I'll try and explain the myriad of keys and padlocks that are involved
to open my garage door, and the new-ish gate at the entrance to my
    alley (fnar).

Actually, if you want to do this, let me know today, and I'll make sure
    it's full of petrol.
lots of bungees and a cargo-net over the top of the suitcase. A laptop
will fit in a medium sized rucksack.

If you are going to get the 7R, remember to psych yourself down
concerning how ugly/scraped the thing is...

    Hey. I've washed it.

I could probably get it to you Wednesday or if Ben wants to pick it up
    from me NP.

Trouble is, it's 92 miles from Bournemouth to Hove - 2.15 hours by
train. Unless I come down to Hove on Sunday 11th, straight from
London, grab the bike, and take it to Bournemouth with me. That might
    work.

No, I don't leave Kuwait until Friday. I'm talking about Thursday
15th - my only truly free day in 8 days of being home.
I almost certainly won't be able to collect the 400 Four. I may be
able to collect the 7R next week and leave it at my parents place.
I'll have to have my parents bring the appropriate stuff (incl.
helmet, jacket and gloves; as well as rucksack) to the wedding on
    Saturday.
