Bayliss wanted his finger amputated trackside?

    Dave Despain reported on his Wind Tunnel television show last night that a
    report our of Donnington said Bayliss asked the track side medical team to
    amputate his pinky so he could compete in race #2 but that request was
    refused.

    Brave, or Crazy?

    True or not true?

    He's an Aussie remember? And as tight as he's reported to be I'm surprised
    he didn't grab a pair of dikes and do it himself.
    Heh, heh, hell, some of those guys are so tuff and over the top I expect to
    see dick wrestling, or some other crazy shit someday soon!

    I would believe it, and as for the first question, I'd say both... and both
    are a requirement to be a top level motorcycle racer anyhow. You have to be
    brave, and crazy... and calculating and racing smart... very unique breed.
