    Hi there,

    Was hoping you could give some advice re. a very dead battery I've got;
basically I'm under the impression that I won't be able to trickle charge it
as I think the acid has probably died - though I must admit I'm not sure how
that all works. On the assumption it has, is it possible to replace battery
acid manually - I've got the leaflet that came with it and it's dilute
sulphuric acid, which I'm hoping isn't too hard to find. Anyway, advice and
    opinions would be appreciated. :)

    Thanks,

    Alex.

Just try charging it anyway. If it won't come back to life, you could
get your local friendly bike shop to refill it, or try a 'batt-aid'
tablet, or stop being a pikey fucker & buy a new one.
Use sunscreen. Oh, & never scratch an itchy eye with an air-chisel.

Or use a honing tool to clean out your urethra.

I really wish you hadn't said that. YEARS ago, a pal of mine was into
"exotic" animals and scorpion were one of his favourites. He picked up the
discarded carcass (shedded?) of one and we went to the chippy where he
sneaked it out of his pocket and dropped into the fish fryer, hen waited to
    get served.

"Can I have scorpion and chips please" he asked, which resulted in a not
unexpected strange look from the server wench. Then he pointed at the
carcass floating and bubbling in the fryer. The next look from server wench
was un-fucking-believable, but we didn't hang around long enough to see if
she recovered fully. I'm not conviced he thought the idea up by himself, but
he carried it off with flair, I'll give him that.

  9. How dead?

You can get battery rejuvenator pills from most decent motor factors.

If it is a bike battery though it will be, at best, a very temporary
solution and you would be better off going straight out and buying a new
one. Most ordinary batteries seem to be about 25 pounds unless you
happen to own a VT750 kit when they start at 70 dollars plus shipping.
