    Hi there,

    Hopefully someone can help :)

My daughter has a suzuki marauder gz125, which she's had for quite a
while. She's asked me to get and fit a new battery for it, and sadly
my local bike shop is closed till bloody january.
I'm considering halfords (sob) and their range of bosch batteries.

Do any kind and gentle folks know if this:

    http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/...uctId_264163_langId_-1_categoryId_165697#dtab

    would fit it?

Sorry to be a pain, but the bosch website somewhat lacks in the old
    information front!

    Many thanks,

If you enlarge the picture you will see the battery type as YTX12BS.
This is the same format that most Japanese makers use. I imagine
Halfords will stock other batteries so you should be able to match up
the Bosch one with what you need in store.

According to the fitment chart at http://www.dkmotorcycles.co.uk/ you
need a YTX7L-BS (CTX7L-BS also fits). You might want to check the actual
battery fitted to the bike. Halfords don't list this battery on their
website but shop stock may differ.

If Halfords don't stock the right battery then try a local lawn mower
shop. Many mowers have electric starts. Such a place got a mate out of a
hole in Scotland a while back. They might not have the battery in stock
but can usually get any Yuasa battery pretty quickly.

Here's another online source that verifies the correct size as YTX7L-BS
    http://www.motorbikebatteries.co.uk/shop/12v7lb-ytx7lbs-p-62.html
