Need Battery for 1987 Honda CBR600 (original "Hurricane"). Old Yuasa batt. is MF YTX9-BS

    Amazon has:
    http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias=aps&field-keywords=YTX9-BS+YUAM329BS

    1.) Yuasa Maintenance Free Battery - YTX9-BS YUAM329BS by Yuasa $55.92

    2.) Yuasa YUAM329BS YTX9-BS Battery by Yuasa (May 30, 2012) $49.50

    3.) Etc, etc

What is the difference between 1.) and 2.)?

    What is the best buy?

    Thx,
    P

    The price?
Assuming they are both exactly the same battery... at a guess,
whichever one you can buy at a cheaper total price, when the shipping
    cost is added.

You may also wish to consider the seller's reputation and the potential
for any hassles should it turn out to be necessary to return the
    battery.

It seems that many battery sellers advertise genuine brand name
batteries but deliver a so-called equivalent aftermarket battery. So
I would take great care, if you seem to be able to buy a brand name
sealed Yuasa battery for a significantly cheaper price than another
vendor, that it is in fact a genuine Yuasa battery.

I've personally had decent luck with Yuasa sealed batteries. The
bargain brand non-sealed batteries seem to be more or less
interchangeable and don't last longer than a couple of years in
my experience. I haven't had much experience with off-brand sealed
batteries so I can't recommend them or warn against them.

    In other words, caveat emptor.
