    A battery that charges to 12.4V, then (off the bike) drops to 11.4V over
    a couple of days.

    Possibly a build up of 'gunk' in the bottom that's effectively
    shorting the plates.

    Best bet is replace, but if you want to be pikey - the car spares shop
    that I work at sells battery rejuvenator tablets (bit hit and miss
    tho).

  11. I suspect this is a dead cell rather than general sulphation, so don't
    be too surprised if EDTA doesn't work. Worth trying though.
