    hi just a quicj question

for a 125cc honda bike worth £300 what's the cheapest, most effective
    way to deter thieves?

it does not have disc brakes

is a chain lock any good just put round the wheel?

    Leave the keys in it.

Good for fucking up wheels when you forget it's there.

Why not just insure it for 600 quid and leave it parked anywhere in London,
    then walk away?

Better to put it round both back wheel and frame so the wheel can't turn.
Even better if you can the attach the frame to an immovable object with the
chain. With the steering lock on the front and no key for the ignition that
would be an awful lot of hassle for a thief and given the low value of the
bike it is unlilkely that any thief will be determined enough to bother.
