Went there last year when I was in Portugal.

    Go there, it's worth it.

I think Sevilla is the warmest place in Europe. Unbearable in the

    100km away.

I went past there last year, with Christofire, in a van with the
    throttle to the stop.
ISTR that on the way there we saw something from the autostrada for
further investigation on the way back. But we didn't.

Both the cathedral and the Castello Mouro (sp?) are well worth a visit
    if one likes old piles.

    There's nowhere I haven't enjoyed driving.

    Actually, maybe Manchester.

  7. It's lovely in September/October/November - still warm enough for us
cold weather Brits to sit outside in the evening - usually to the
amazement of the locals who have wooly jumpers on by October as the
temp plummets to 20C or so.

Champ secured a place in history by writing:
I enjoyed driving in Rome. Until the Carabinieri pulled me at 4am for
speeding in a mates Fiat Cinquecento and roughed me around a bit for being
a foreign type with a cocky attitude....

No.1 city break destination in the world apparently.
There are lots, we stayed in a hostel near Valcarca which was clean,
cheap, friendly and comfortable our friends went and stayed in a hotel
off La Ramblas and said it was great.

The city is geared up for tourists.
Wife and I went in October last year and loved it. The Gaudi
architecture is fantastic, Parc Guell is a must as it outshines the rest.

Also the wine region south of Barcelona (Penedes, Saint sar d'anui - I
think) produces some very nice Cava and a trip round the vinyards
sampling is always a nice way to spend a day. The lonely planet guide
    will tell you more.

Driving in Barcelona is like any metropolis, slow and painful. Park
outside the city and use the fantastic public transport or hire a bike.

As a city though it is exactly that, a city, a very colourful vibrant
one but a city none the less.

Girona is still a lovely place worth visiting, not to mention Figueres,
just up the road, should you wish to visit the Teatré de Musé de Dali.

Which IMO is well worth the visit and the coastal town of Cadaques,
where Dali spent most of his life.
