Does anyone have a cure for a 97 600 Bandit with carb icing?
It's started again, and drives me nuts.
The carb heater kit is fitted, but doesen't seem to work straight away, so I
get stalling & very lumpy response.
Is there a replacement carb or fuel additive that anyone has tried that
    works.
Not sure I can cope with another winter as it is.
Please don't suggest keeping the carb & replacing the rest.
    Thanks
    Chris

This was recommended to me today on the GPZ. My friend is riding it at
the moment and it cut out on her on Tuesday morning a couple of times. I
wasn't aware that there was a filter in it. Apparently there's no
mention of it requiring cleaning in the workshop or Haynes manuals but
the 'bloke who knows' here at work says it's a good idea.

    Chris,

Hope I can help here... I have a friend that used to live in Newcastle[1],
and he said to me one day that he uses Isopropanol(or whatever the spelling
is) to great effect. I have never found out where the hell I can get hold of
this stuff. Apparently you only need something like a spoon full[2] with a
full tank. So in that respect, you can have a little bottle of some kind
under your seat, and add some everytime you fill up.

    Hope this helps.

Anyone know why I didn't get the message above?
I have no killfiles or any other filtering.
Can someone tell me how many replies there have been to the original post?
    BTW I'm using news.demon.co.uk
    TIA
