Bandit 1250 GT Mini-review

Popular mod on the CB13 is to reverse the bar risers to move the bars
about 3/4" forward.
Don't know if that's feasible on the B1250, but it would be cheap.

Yeah, it's funny, I've never felt like that with any other bike,
despite the possibility always being there.

 

They look symmetrical on the Bandit so I don't think that's work, plus
the handguards would foul on the top fairing.

 

I had to leave the country to get out of doing that.

Not as far as I am aware, but his UK residence is too close too mine
for it to be worthwhile.

 

I'm intrigued by that - I'm not expecting anything from him.

Wasn't able to call in last time I past thru, cos had two v sleepy
females in the car.

 

It stopped ticking some time ago, so I guess it's safe.

You wouldn't have wanted to disturb them, I can see that.

 

Not sure how feasible it is on the Bandit[1] but fitting slightly lower
footpegs on the R-GS reduced the amount of weight on my arse. I wanted a
straighter leg position due to wonky knees but the weight redistribution
has been an added bonus.

[1] depends on ground clearance, which is not lacking on the R-GS

 

I have one on my bmw & it works a treat, deflects most of the air right over
my head.

That's an idea. It's not so much the weight as the distribution. I
need to kind of tilt my hips forward just a little. I can do it by
sitting up a bit straighter, but that gets tiring after a while.

I've noticed that the risers for the bars are quite high, I'm going to
have a look round to see if there are any lower ones. There should be
room there to drop the bars about half an inch.
