Thinking about changing the bulbs in my '01 1200S (projector lens). It seems
that Philips do a "premium" bulb which suggests 30% more light (mind you 30%
of nothing is still nothing!). They also do a "blue vision"
bulb.........anyone know whether this is brighter for night riding?

Has anyone had any success stories in removing the blockers from the half
    faired 2nd gen bandits?

    Thanks,

    Mark

Mark was seen penning the following ode to ... whatever:
Can't comment on their use on a Bandit, but I've had them on a few
BMWs and I rate them. They're noticably brighter which makes for
better night riding, but their lifespan is also noticeably shorter.
Leave that one to the Nova boyz.

It's a groundhog day on ukrm in which I say "fitting a brigher bulb to
a shit headlight makes **** all difference" and everyone else
disagrees; try the 'blue vision' and report back. Alternatively, fill
the headlamp with wax and stick a wick in it.

I'm using Xenon "xtreme white" lamps [1] in my GSF12, which is a big
improvement on the standard lamp. Don't know about the blockers .....
    well I wouldn't would I ?

[1] off ebay £7 for two IIRC
