After a while with the CB500s I've decided on getting something with a *bit*
more grunt. I like the idea of the big twins, but i still hanker after a
    Bindit 12.

Rang the nice folk at JSGedge in Hastings and they offered me a test ride on
    a Bandit, Sv1000 and a Thruxton (hmm)

Now bearing in mind the heady handling performance of my humble CB perhaps
I'm expecting too much, but the Bandit just feels "odd" in corners to me.
Apart from my ancient GPz550 which handled like a pig (due to shagged rear
linkage) my bikes since (TRX, CB5) have been stable as anything in bends.
The SV felt happy as a sand boy too, but the Bandit either felt like it was
flopping in, or you were having to force it down.

It was a s/h example, but with only 3k up it looked fine, and I'd had a test
ride on a new one before and it felt similar.

So do you get used to it? Or am i just a big girls blouse and if i lofted
the front like you should, then it'll feel just alright....

    More to the point what's a CB500s on a 99 T worth with 8.5k up fitted with
    lubberly Honda hard luggage?

TIA, abuse to the usual address blah blah blah.

    Cheers,

    Jon.
(and many very belated thanks to Sweller re: the MZ, the engine was a
buggered as could be. Anyone with a 150cc engine, let me know!)
Remove the DEADWOOD to reply etc etc

FWIW, I don't immediately get on with the Bandits when I've had a go.
It's been a while since I last had a go, but I can recall not being as
confident on them as other bikes. Perhaps it's not the bike for you.
