Bad news, good news.

Bad news is that a big end has just gone in my trusty (up to now) CX500.
Now awaiting surgery/transplant. Good news is that I have rediscovered the
joys of my CG125 (MTSOTHPR). I took it out for a bimble and thoroughly
enjoyed myself. Ah, the excitement of reaching up to 50mph on twisty
country lanes and 65mph on long (very long) straights. Mind you on a CG125
you get twice the thrills at half the speed - especially when approaching
sharp corners and realising that there is only a pathetic little drum brake
on the front which is having GREAT difficulty in reducing that "massive"
50mph down to something low enough to keep you on the road. Great fun. And
it has a new replacement cheapo silencer that makes it sound quite
impressive too - my son came out to look at my "new" bike when he heard it.
He couldn't believe it was only the CG.

Two up on a CG125 is interesting too. That little FRN[1] device is even
less effective, and the performance is in the roller coaster category.
Just tip the little thing into corners, you'll be surprised. :)

[1] Faint rubbing noise (even more so with worn brake shoes).

And at a third of the price.
