For some inexplicable reason the Beak has not jailed darcy. I simply cannot
understand how any Magistrate, faced with the awful reality actually
standing in the dock, could fail to serve his country.

On the up side it means Adie has not been banged up.....which is nice.

We'll leave the detailed posts to those directly concerned.

What I really need to know is whether darsy wore his green suit.

Adie sez I can tell : 3 points and 500 quid.

So, *phew* and *ouch*, I think.

    In
500 quid ... ferkin' hell ... plus or including costs?

The bloke that killed a mates girlfriend by ignoring a Give Way junction
[1] got half of that as a fine.

[1] trying to do a "Dukes of Hazzard" type leap = Granada > GPz1100
    interface.

So they dropped the [due care]/[dangerous] bit then? Result.

Bloody hell. Still, I'd rather pay more in fines and less in points.

Not too bad a result then. The fine seems a bit harsh, but hell it's only
10 Friday nights out and it'll be forgotten long before a shed load of
    points would have been.

In this case I'd be happy with 3pts and 500 squid. Bloody happy.

Not that I think the riding was dangerous in anyway, simply because I
thought they were lined up to be shafted.

Under the circumstances, that's a bit of a result, IMHO.

Sounds like the magistrate took into account that the coppers were a
    pair of useless clowns.

IMHO, they appear to have psyched themselves up for much worse, so I
    suppoese this is a *result*.

I'd like to know if they went with the public defender or not.

  15. I'm home now.

Its actually broken down as follows:

speeding 3 points and £200 fine
WDC 3 points and £250 fine
costs £50 [1]. this should have been £150 for the coppers to turn up
with was reduced when I said I'd written requesting them not to attend
which of course the CPS couldnt find.

but as both offences occured at the same time its only three points
    for totting up.
    yep.

[1] Darsy got £75 costs due to the fact he interpreted the letter
correctly as if you dont do anything they wont turn up.

  17. <fx: confused look>

So Darsy didn't write a letter, and so he got 75 quid costs,
whereas you wrote a letter say "don't turn up", which CPS
couldn't find, and so they turned up...

Do both offences go on your licences?

I didn't realise that this was the case. I'd always assumed that
they would add them up. A bit of a result.

    [snip]

Did you go home via the 'Daytona Special Edition' shop as
    way of celebration?

  20. yep, thats the one. they originally wanted to give us £250 costs
between us so its been halved.
I guess so. Well they go on mine but not on Darsys due to the fact he
has a Northern Ireland licence. If he applies for a UK one though it
will come preendorsed. Like thats going to happen.
