    You are dangerous to know. It seems to be mostly plastic, though.

    It's plugged. I've had two K's and they both had plugs in the hole that
    took the 'cruise control'

    BMW dealer...

    Apparently the 16v and 8v models have a different cruise control
    mechanism. (I've always had the 8v models).

    I don't know what France is like for support but here are two companies
    you should be aware of in the uk:

    Motorworks:

    www.motorworks.co.uk

    Motobins:

    www.motobins.co.uk

    Both have good online catalogues. Motorworks' staff seem more helpful to
    me and have helped out when I've had problems with finding part numbers,
    fitting accessories etc.

    If you search on the motobins site for 'cruise control' then you can
    look at the pictures of the parts (click on the camera icons). Isn't the
    internet great? Free exposed bike part pics 24 hours a day.
