Back on the bike

    Friday afternoon the doctor gave me the OK to resume normal activities
    after my knee reconstruction. Today I jumped back on my Honda Shadow
    and took a ride to Nobby for a camp oven lunch with the Just Rock R&R
    dance club. Great ride out. Interesting ride home. Storm, rain, hail,
    lightning striking all around. Great fun!

    The knee behaved well, but I was nervous. You need a bit of sideways
    strength when you put your feet down on a bike sometimes, I worried
    whether it would fail. It didn't.

    Since then I've ridden from Warwick to Toowoomba (and back) a few times.
    Saves me $10 per trip over the car. 400 trips and I might even have paid
    for my medical costs!

    I should have thought a good deal of the medical expensis would be
    refunded , I got about 3/4 back in-spite of the repairs being average
    it's all there is until UQ starts human testing the work in progress

    lol,in jan 2001 a car pulled out on me point blank, ripped off my leg at the hip,my arm at the elbow, heee, and smashed in my head,,3 month comma, then 7 years of sergery, got my arm and leg back eventualy(lots and lots of morphine)now ive got a 750cc 1991 honda shadow, i imported it from japan in pieces,,,,The point im getting at is "dont let the doctors tell you what you can do,",,it might seem strange to import such an old bike, but it had been confiscated by the police and sat doing nothing in there compound for 10 years, it was like new and cost aprox 1000 pounds
