Yep, those were the days... Bikes didn't handle... Brakes were
crap... Riders wore jeans and no helmets... The roads were shit....
No signage telling you how fast to ake the enxt corner... No airbag
roadside safety barriers... Hoons died young... The gene pool was a
    lot cleaner... Pure bliss... :)

Now there's something I didn't expect to hear:

/in my pelvis I'm knowing that I'm doing the right thing/

And I thought it was just men that thought with the little head.

There's something very ironic about you getting on a sporty and
learning to make chairs the old fashioned way in the same week....

  8. Don't forget Cox's Law.

First 6 (or is that 3) months on a new bike, or one that's been recently
repainted, is the highest likelihood of an 'off'.

    or words to that effect.

ps: my spelling check wants to replace 'bikerbetty' with 'Tinkerbell'. :)

According to Professor Hurt "More than half of the accident-involved
motorcycle riders had less than 5 months experience on the accident
motorcycle [and not on their first bike]"

I was a lot happier when I broke the 5 month barrier. Suggest you
deliberately take it easy until then too.
