Will you two stop telling all the bloody southerners where all the

We will add to the 'even when it's pissing down' vote. ;-)

We did about 2000 miles one two week trip. Nth London, Peaks, Lakes,
Ft William, Loch Ness, Dornoch, JoG - Thurso, Perth, County Durham
(Beamish), Skeggy and home. Me on the R100RT with daughter and towing
the trailer, Mrs on her XV750. We tended to stay in each place a
couple of days and explore from there.

The best roads for us by far were in out in the wilds of Scotland, not
just the views or the road terrain but the quality of the road surface
in general (little of it had been dug up by utility Co's 10 mins after
being laid, like in London). Also a definite attitude difference from
other drivers (again, especially compared with London).

You are right about the rain though but we seemed to be pretty lucky
with it only raining when we were actually on the road (so pretty
waterproof) or in the tent at night.

Oh well. We'll just have to ride it.
