Without hesitation, repetition or mentioning the exhaust.

Marginally more heterosexual than your Harley.

    Very marginally.

    Looks purposeful

You could get a jacket similar to the road tester & look like Bibendum's
    civil partner

  5. On balance I think B-King's burgers are better than MaccyD's, but I
suppose it's down to personal preference. The exhaust shouldn't be a
problem if you don't scoff too many cheeseburgers.

They should've called it "BUFF" like the B-52, coz they're both big ugly fat
    fuckers.

    Is bigger better?

Looks shite, IMHO. I dislike the angular styling, bring back curves
and do away with the sails .. sorry, couldn't help mentioning the
    exhausts .. ;)

The B-King is a naked Hayabusa.
Which, in stock form can go 186 mph.
Try sitting in a 186 mph breeze with no wind protection.

Can we talk about Hinckley Bonnevilles now?

    <begin>
Brilliant engine. Good front end. Excellent brakes. Comfortable until your
necks snaps. Doesn't like mid-corner bumps. Seems as if its rear suspension
geometry is at odds with the world.
Love/hate manga styling. Mediocre build quality evident upon close
    inspection. Suzuki's V-Max.
    <end>
Can we just play Mornington Crescent, or one tune with the words of another
    now please.

To be honest, hanging on to the Hayabusa at high speed is no picnic

Hmmm, not quite a glowing endorsement then.

I have to say that I really like the Busa. Yes, the power is mental at
the top end, but more impressive than that is that it's so tractable
through the rev range and rides beautifully so it's a really nice way to
    cover the ground.

The problem I've got is with me; my body geometry's all to cock, in that
for my height I've got relatively short arms and legs and a long body.
Now the Busa is ideal for those that are short in the leg department,
but the long body/short arms thing means that I'm leant forward more
than most to reach the bars and that's neither good for the arms or the
neck. Despite fitting slightly higher bars, I still struggle to keep my
neck at an angle where I can see out of the helmet (though when the
throttles opened it's usually too scary to look out anyway)

What I'd like to be able to do is sit up straight on the Busa. A quick
sit on the B-King at George Whites suggested that the sitting position
suits, but it it doesn't ride as nicely as the Busa then that's rather
    disappointing.

Obvious alternatives would be the GTR, but that would seriously blow the
    budget that I don't have :-(
Not until 2 other people have asked about the B-King as you're in Nidd,
    sorry.

That's why I like the Shiver. Proper 'sack of potatoes' riding position.
Not quite as perfect as the 'tart' was but not bad at all. Dog slow of
course, but it will propel me at a reasonable rate on the French Run and
to the TT and I'm really looking forward to taking it to Cadwell next
    year.

That was based on me trying one out for half an hour. I was quite
disparaging about the bikes aesthetics, so given the keys and told to go
play. The above is a short form of my response to the dealer. If I was
looking for a large capacity bike as a daily rider, I'd take the Bandit
    1250SA or a CB1300SA over the B-King every time.
    +1 to that.
I too am short in the leg department. Not deficient in number, merely my
arse is too close to the ground for my height. At 5'11", I'm not exactly a
short arse height wise, but 31" inside leg jeans drag on the ground.
It does ride as nicely, and on smooth roads handles really well, but I found
that if I hit a bump mid corner whilst rolling the throttle on, the back end
lost all composure. Arresting the throttle roll rate didn't help. Rolling
off made it worse. I found that dragging a small amount of rear brake whilst
rolling on helped, but that just points to a geometry issue to me, or a
tweak is needed somewhere. Or the rear tyre is just wide and I'm not used to
it. It handled bumps just fine when upright. Really soaked them up without
any end to end nodding. When it does come upright, that engine makes
everything else seem limp. It didn't feel too settled under hard
acceleration. Kind of a squat/rise/squat/weave that never gets worse. I'd
compare it to my GTR1000, but without the 'rabbits nose' trouser effect.

For such a big bike ( to me ), it is a remarkably wieldy machine. Maybe I
    was being too wussy?.
