I live in the big beautiful town of Brownsville, It seems that all who post
on this N/G are far away from me.
    I ride a 1981 GL I 1100, I work at a local hospital (like a dog) I do not
play golf I love to fish My wife likes bikes but won't ride.I like to hang
out with the guys, we normally go for a ride on Thursday's after work. If
you like I can put a pic of my bike up here. I don't normally post in the
N/G I reed a lot so there for I really don't know hot to put all the
conversation in one post when I reply to a post. Grin Maybe you can tell me
how to do that. I just found that one of my forks has what I think a leak
from the seal. The top of the fork has a film of oil on it. I am wondering
if I can do it or if I need to take it to the shop.
I hate to type so this might be the longest post I will ever put up.
    I used to ride a (2000) Sportier 1200

Okay Dusty. I, for one, appreciate you introducing your self to this
    great moto group.

Maybe Jerry will chime in on your concern about the ''Fork seal oil
    Leak''.

I know what I'd do, I'd take mine to the Honda Store. But, there's a
lotta guys on here, who do their own ''bike repairs''.

I dont even change the ‘‘oil in my’’ Valk, I have ''it done'',
    but that's just me.

I use to change the oil of all the other bikes, but, I like the idea
that Ed the head Guy at the Honda Shop, inspects various other things on
the Bike. Plus he is a friend.

Yeah, Dusty, you do live a fer' piece from me. You live according to
Rand McNally, 675 miles, from this NE corner, to your most southern
    ''tip'' of Tejas.

The closest to your town, I've ever been is Corpus. I've rode down
there a few times. Rode to SanAntone afew times.
Rode thru Houston on the way to Bridge City.
-Hey Dusty, do you know what's at the little bitty town of Bridge City,
Texas, down below Orange, Tx. (?)
    (chuckle)- Ever rode over it.?

I have been to Bridge City several times. Theres a resturant that is
(or was there) called Sartans. They serve BBQ crab and man is it good.
Me and my woman were married in Orange Tx. I need to get back down
that way and have a look see one of these days.

Some folks have money, some don't. Changing the fork seals is about as easy
as can be if you read the instructions. I did mine and it worked out ok, and
    I saved about 300 bucks.

Well if ya aint rode a motorsikel over it, ya haven't really been over
    that tall ass bridge, right.

    It was ''almost'' alraming...hehehhe!
But, I remember we did go back and forth over it several times,
when I rode over it 20 years ago.

I probably wouldnt ''even'' do it now..

Hjay & I, and another couple rode our GoldWings all the way down there
just to ''Ride over'' the tallest Bridge in the South---that doesn't
need to''fold up'', for the ships to go through the channel, am I right
    on this?????
