So, you've got better brakes which will generate more weight transfer
to the front, and therefore make the rear more likely to lock, and you
want to make the rear fiercer?

Many racers bleed air ito their rear brake...

I have no serious plans to alter the rear as I hardly ever use it other than
    when slow manouvering.
Blimey! I can do one finger stoppies now.

You should try a radially mounted, 4-pad setup. Now that is awesome!

It's part of the regs, so it does have to be there. And I guess, from
a safety perspective, if you had a front brake failure it would be
good to have *some* rear brake, no matter how ineffectiev.

The whole "thumb brake" thing is about using the back brake to control
wheelspin on the way out of the corner. Bit out of my league, I
    reckon...

Having brakes just slows you down. Pull in clutch, select first gear, hit
kill switch and let clutch out.

  12. Achterly, having a mildly crap back brake is a goo thing.

  13. Look in YP and find Hydraulic Hose Stockist/Specialist.
They'll make you up a set of braided hoses every bit as good as the
biketrade ones for a part of the price.

Wouldn't that be standing it on it's tail rather than nose?
