.... do they *all* make the bike wiggle at low speed? Only after the fiasco of changing just about every suspension component on the Wing, to no avail, and curing the problem by reverting to Bridgestones, the Blackbird's doing it now. Under 20mph or so, it wiggles as if on a "prepared for resurfacing" road surface, or as if the spindle wasn't done up. Every thing seems okay. No bearing play, axle nice and tight, etc. Anyone else a: experienced this phenomena, and b: cured it. -- | ___ Salad Dodger |/ \ _/_____\_ GL1500SE-V/CBR1100XX-X/CBX1000Z |_\_____/_| ..78875.../...19634.../..30836. Salad Dodger emerged from their own little world to say No The Distanzias that have been on my GS since June are excellent in the handling dept. Seem to be outlasting the Metzelers too. HTH
Salad Dodger says... AV45/46 STs wiggle. It's a bit weird at first but it either goes away or you don't notice it after a while. It never bothered me on the last ZZR.
Salad Dodger? He'z just ziz guy, you know? I got some Avons on the Prelude. No one anywhere could balance the fuckers, terrible. Got lots of "the wheels buckled", "wheel bearing knackered", "brake disc is warped" rubbish. So played about having fun trashing them to canvas and got something different on - perfect.
Had it on the trumpet. Was recommended to up the pressure by a couple of pound as the Avon website showed they needed higher pressure than the Triumph book. Sorted. Fine then, no more marbles under the front wheel.
Recently had an Avon tyre on the front of my virago, wobbled at low speed, very skittish over the slightest imperfection on the road, just didn't feel right. Yesterday i got that pissed off with it, i went and got another brand of tyre, problem cured.
I've not noticed it with the Avons on my Zephyr. -- Dan L (Oldbloke) My bike 1996 Kawasaki ZR1100 Zephyr M'boy's bike 2003 Honda NSR125R (Going) Spare Bike 1990 Suzuki TS50X (Patio Ornament) BOTAFOT #140 (KotL 2005), X-FOT#000, DIAABTCOD #26, BOMB#18 (slow)
In uk.rec.motorcycles, Salad Dodger amazed us all with this pearl of wisdom: The first set of Azaro 3s I had on the CBR made it wiggle but I've had no probs with other sets and the set I had on the Bindit.
