I'll dig out some of my Granddads crashes from WW2, Blenheims upside
down in various stages of 'aaaahhhhhhh ffuuuuccckkkk' then stood at the
side of them like nothing ever happened :)

His mate sgt Unsworth is in my original copy of 'so few' :) Now, if you
really want to borrow it, you can. As i know you're a plane nut.

I would, but not a signed copy. I wouldn't trust Royal Mail.

    However...

    A fiver? Bargain!

That whole series of photos brought back memories for me.

About 15 years ago I was driving back to work (Telford) from my Auntie's
house (Anglesey), early(ish) one Monday morning. Midget, roof down,
clear roads, so naturally I took the Llanberis pass to rejoin the A5 later.

On the stretch from Llanberis pass down to Capel Curig two A10 Warthogs
were on a low pass up the valley. The first was eye level and abut 40
yards away. The pilot sort of glanced back at me as I caught his eye
(Bright yellow midget). The second, clearly the better pilot, was about
100 yards behind the first, was *below* me on the road about 30 yards
away and saluted me as he went past.

I nearly crashed, the septic cunts. ;)

It's more 'ruined' than signed, but a cracking book.

Very impressive. I've looked down on them flying through the valleys
many times in Wales, but would never get photos like those. He must've
    been panning like a bastard.

    What a moment!

They (A10s) are often playing about at Lakenheath when we are
shooting. Always wondered if they got a warning if we happened to be
pointing our guns at them [1] as I'd rather they didn't point their
    gun at us.

    [1] I don't really but ...

  11. I love the fact that the chap in the back seat appears to be giving
    the snapper the serious eyeball.

    I thought it was a Spitfire.[1]

[1] Someone at the Newbury show 'tother week was overheard to say "is
that an F15?" when the Spitfire was doing it's thing.

  14. No doubt whatsoever, but still a great relaxed pose by the guy riding
pillion, all he really needed was to have a starbucks in one hand and
doobie in the other to make it prizewinning.

    ;-)

Have you tried the forum at uk.rec.motorcycles?

Some outstanding posts there from some very talented .sig snippers.
