The forecast currently appears reasonable - sunny if slightly chilly...
therefore anyone up for a coffee/whatever at Avebury on Wednesday night?

Probably, if I can get down the post office to get tax before then.

Cool - I have a post-service bike to 'explore' (read shred the tyre of...)

Think the heated grips will be handy on the way home.

I'm interested, assuming I've got an end can on the bandit in time.

Unlikely, the Guzzi had the temerity to snap its clutch cable - a manky
old one that's been doing get you home service for the past 3 years - and
    Motorworks aren't answering their phone.

You'll have to make up for it later in the year :)

Try www.rebootguzzispares.com as they often have NOS of many cables.

    cheers,

I will but they're in the process of relocating to France ATM.

I also want a new plain clutch plate as mine is v. worn - I should have
replaced it when I did the flywheel recently - and it's contributing to
    the 'Clutch of Death'.

  13. night?

May well do. Went up on Sunday and there were a fair number of bikes
around - mostly having come from Thruxton, I suspect.

    do.

He's moving away from Guzzi's and has more or less discontinued the mail
order side; I've already had the a rummage through the best of his
    secondhand parts.

Problem is I can't get there ATM, when I can I'll be sure to make off
with the last of the cables...

The forecast is looking decidedly unreasonable now, but I'm all taxed
up so I'll be there[1] around 6.45ish unless it's absolutely hammering
    it down.

Possibly. I'll be visiting the old dear in hospital tomorrow so won't be
a million miles away. Depends on how I'm doing for time.

If I do turn up, I'll be the one looking out of place in a cage.

Heh - there's the NT carpark just down the lane from the pub - you could
    hide it in there.

It is rather .. damp.. at the moment isn't it? However, for Swindon at least
(I can't seem to find Avebury) it's looking okay for tonight :
    http://uk.weather.com/weather/detail/UKXX0147?dayNum=0 - 30% chance of rain
so 70% chance of no rain.

Anyway, I need to try the bike in the rain at some point (find out whether
the 'Deathwings' deserve the disdain the DL groups have for them) so I
should be there around 7'ish assuming I can get out the office.

Plus I really need a run on the bike for loads of other reasons - course
I'll probably stick in it a ditch, or worse, topple over outside the pub.

BTW - I'm not sure I've seen you on your Tiger (as opposed to the MV) - what
    colour is it?

    I can't imagine there'll be too many DL-1000's with oddly-sized riders so I
    should stand out.
