  1. snip times in GMT.
It (the solstice) isn't about when the sun rises and sets.

You'd need to look at the seconds as well. 3:43:00 to 20:21:59 is
longer than 3:43:59 to 20:22:00. Even if the above times are rounded,
    3:42:30 to 20:21:29 is longer than 3:43:29 to 20:22:00.

So just coming to work makes every day a AETRMMLAC day for me then?
    Cool.

Indeed. I'm not too sure Sarah would be very impressed with me riding
my bike around the house like a **** so it doesn't apply to me
    unfortunately.

  7. Yes, definitely NAH. At least wait until the hook is baited before
    launching onto the bank.
Ah well if it's enlightenment that you're after

"When I heard the learn'd astronomer,
When the proofs, the figures, were ranged in columns before me,
When I was shown the charts and diagrams, to add, divide, and measure
    them,
When I sitting heard the astronomer where he lectured with much
    applause in the lecture-room,
How soon unaccountable I became tired and sick,
Till rising and gliding out I wander'd off by myself,
In the mystical moist night-air, and from time to time,
Look'd up in perfect silence at the stars."

    Or

"Not from the stars do I my judgement pluck; and yet methinks I have
    astronomy"
Ah well there's a shortage of laymen around here. And I certainly
would never claim to be one.
A UKRM meet is hardly ceremonial, though it has its own rituals. As to
an error of two days not making a great deal of difference - try
telling the various sites aligned to the solstice that.
