I can't make it either as I also have a prior engagement. But not with
    Champ.

Given what he rides, I thought Gyp *was* her backdoor man.

I too have a prior engagement unfortunately - with some wire cutters, a
soldering iron, a box of heatshrink & the biggest mass of wiring I
think I've ever seen on a bike. Oh, & some cams to pop off for a game
of 'swap the shim'. I know how to party, me.

No rush, I'm sure I'll make it along to Avebury at some point in the
    near future.

Did you go? Just heard that some bloke was showing off round the 'S'
bend on an R1, & ended up with a leg bone sticking out through the side
    of his leathers.

That's a good start to the summer then.

I was thinking it might be worth going on days other than Wednesday.
Guess it depends if purpose of going is to meet UKRM people, or to look
    at bikes.

I've just found it a bit too mad on some Wednesdays for me :)

No - I decided that to attack the undergrowth masquerading as a lawn
instead. Which was a poor decision by the sounds of it.

heh - it's just I hate getting parked in - and that's what happened
    several times last year.

It'll pay dividends later in the barbecue season.

Because it'll break down on him so he doesn't need to ride it?

Bandit 600s do not "break down". They become broken. There's a
    (subtle) difference.

They can get dirt in the carbs I'm sure though if you stuff them deeply
    enough into a ploughed field.

Mine was fixed cheaply and quickly enough to enable me to ride through
Avebury last weekend. I was refering to the fact that I didn't fall off
while I was showing off through the bends there. Maybe he doesn't need a
Bandit 600, maybe he just needs a set of Azaro AV45/46s.....or a clue.

I guess I didn't stuff it deep enough then. I have no intention of
    repeating the experiment...
