absolutely. Though I work for the French[1], and "clearly not telling
the truth or bullshitting" appears to be the default rather than
    exceptional.

[1] I've just come out of a meeting where I was accused by someone of
"only giving me a hard time because I'm French"; of course, I replied
with the obvious "Non, Louis, it's not *only* because you're French..."

It's not that it's just the people I save are more worthy of life than
    motorcyclists.

  4. It's hardly likely. Reading your posts about job requirements typically
leaves me wondering whether the post is still being written in English.
Well compared to you what other conclusion could you reach.

  5. Yes but in my experience the vast majority of people are decent people
who do not and have no reason to lie or bullshit regardless of whether
it is me they are dealing with or anyone else.

Your experience is obviously different to mine.

  6. The way I read your initial reply was that people you've worked with lie
or bullshit more or less most of the time as a way of coping or else
it's their natural style. I may have thought that because of your
(seeming) easy acceptance of such behaviour that your post conveyed. You
don't seem bothered by that state of affairs.

My experience is that it is very rare for people to lie and that
bullshit happens but is not pervasive within the company or with people
I meet. People from my supplier get close to the line between "spinning
their position" and telling downright lies to secure commercial
advantage. We have a range of "comedy" techniques to tell them politely
    not to tell fibs.

I think we must work with different types of people.

  7. You seem to be saying that you don't mind if people lie or bullshit you.
I find that a bit odd no matter how relaxed or easy going you are. There
must be occasions where the truth matters to you.
You don't say. Chalk meet Cheese.

You'd probably fit right in - despite working in a fairly highly
technology-based environment, loads of people in my place of work know
    next to ****-all about technology.
    heh.

  12. Thank you - I think.

Now would I want you as my boss? - Hmmmmmmm.
