I think it'll be a bit of a challenge, given my fear of heights .... but I'm
riding with a girl friend on a scoot, and she's not a girl racer like some
of my other friends - so when I say we'll be riding our own rides at our own
pace, I imagine it'll be a fairly sedate pace on the scarier bits. We're
taking a long weekend - Friday will be Canberra to Wandiligong via
Kiandra/Corryong/Tallangatta (and some other places I've forgotten).
Saturday will be Wandiligong to Mallacoota via the Great Alpine Rd and back
up via Orbost, then Sunday we're taking a nice cruisy trip home via Cann
    River and Bombala.

I don't think I'll be distracted by the views, Moike - on those really high
winding bits it'll be more likely "View? What view?"

Thanks for the advice re the advisory sign, too!

Ah, but it doesn't have to be vertical to be scary... for me, anyway.
High, steep, winding, no guard-rails - that's enough!

  5. Went down to Merimbula via the Monaro on Anzac Day wearing summer gloves
and by the time I got to Piper's Lookout on Brown Mountain my hands were
so cold I couldn't undo my helmet for 15 minutes. Of course, with your
heated grips, winter gloves, silk glove liners and the heated thermal
underwear you won't notice a thing going across the High Country! :)

LOL - funny you should mention heated grips - got them installed
during the service the other day. :p They're going to be lovely!
Still wearing my summer gloves at the moment...
