Shit at cleaning bikes but surprisingly good at getting sticky chain
    oil out of carpets.

    Fancy that.

It is fucking rubbish on paintwork, but very good as a degreaser and for
getting brake dust off wheels. I cleaned my T/ace at the weekend with
it. When I washed the paintwork down it left nasty white deposits that
were hard to shift. When I got a good smell of it I got the feeling it
has a high phosphoric acid content, hence its ability as a wheel
    cleaner.

That's a tip I've been waiting for for two years. Nothing else manages to
get it clean, so can't wait to try it [1]. Ta

[1] I have a life, but some things really niggle after you've spent £12k on
    a kitchen

    Regular cleaning makes it easier.

It's not getting it clean that's the issue, it's getting it clean and
    smear-free, particularly the 3ft square stainless-steel backsplash.......
