    ....rock. I discovered many things:
Leaning doesn't result in steering. It took 10mins of terrifying near
misses for my brain to recalibrate from 2 wheels.
Four wheel drive ATV's rock more than 2 wheel drive.
350cc is enough to scare me shitless.
Standing water does not reveal whether it is 3" or 3' deep. It doesn't
matter anyway, just give it huge beans.
    Alligators are quite small.
...but some wild pigs are freaking huge. Tip:if it's bigger than the
    ATV, turn back.
I can't fly, luckily mud is soft.
    I ache like a bastard.
I want one. 80 miles of trails 10mins from my door. If only I had a
    garage and trailer.

Anyone else had serious fun on these?

Ho yuss (is that how it goes?).

Pismo Beach and the adjoining sand dunes. SWMBO and I spent a few days
there on rented ATVs. It fucking rocks - well until you almost run off
the top of a 60 foot high dune. But it is still tons of fun.

Another fun thing is a snowmobile. Hint you need to lean like ****, but
the opposite way you do on a bike. Otherwise it rolls over on top of you.

  3. Years and years ago. The Honda Red Rocket-engined 250cc trike scared the
crap out of me. I also remember the first Suzuki quads. 250cc, IIRC.
    Huge fun.

ATVs are (AFAIK) the only vehicles with which it is very easy to run
    yourself over.
