Attn R1200GS owners

    A friend was supposed to take delivery this week but had a phone call
    from his dealer to say that the bike was still in the factory waiting a
    replacement part.

    BMW Oz seem to be aware of the problem already. I assume the higher
    operating temperatures induced the fault:
