Obviously the penquins are using it for their campaign against AndrewR's
    panda smuggling operation.

  10. **** off. I lurked, then posted, now I'm back to lurking[1].

    Soy
[1] Cos I realised that someone would ask if I ride[2].
    [2] Then they'd ask what I ride[3].
[3] Then I'd have to either tell the truth[4] or get an iBike[5].
    [4] Which I'm not going to cos I'll get called a ****.
    [5] R1.[6].
    [6] Or Pan Euro[7].
[7] Not sure which cos I'm still imagining how much to spend.

You're proof that some people take all this so much more seriously than I
    do.

It's a lardy, old sports tourer.

Seriously, it's the best bike I've ever ridden[1] and love it to bits.
It suits me down to the ground. I know I'd never get the best out of
a Gixxer Thou or whatever is considered the latest top sports bike.
Hell, I don't even push the 9R to its limits - it will out-do me
in most, if not all, departments.

FWIW I planned to keep this for a maximum of three years when I
bought it in '98. I've still got it because I can't think of
anything I'd rather have or that would suit me quite as well.

Ride one and you won't look back.

[1] Although I've not ridden a great number of bikes, tbh. I'm sure
Champ, who has ridden *loads* will be along shortly to extoll the
    virtues of the 9R.

  14. Well during the time I've lurked I've learnt how to insult people so
much better. I like to think its been worthwhile.

  20. It's not necessary to read all of the crap to reach that conclusion -
random sampling works just as well.
