  2. What annoys me (amongst a lot of others things) is people speaking of
    "One Pence".

Well, it's not a widely held belief amongst those of my acquaintance in
    Bulgaria
Perhaps. OTOH at *600* calories per litre, it will enlarge most things.
    It's quite nice, IMHO.

I'm just starting my millet-is-gluten-free experiments.
Having read that, can't say it sounds all that great.
Got a bingo with my Google-fu tonight, a compleat description of how to make ajon.
They do a lactic fermentation of half the grain, malt the rest,
let it all ferment using natural yeasts, drink it still foaming with fermentation.
Apparently they like the acidity from the lactic fermentation, and the acid keeps down bacteria.
I think I'll leave that out and bung in some hops instead.
We prefer bitter to acid up here, mostly.
It does say millet has amylases, which I was wondering about: I was going to add some.
Might anyway, first few times, JIC.
Sugars are way lower than barley, but starch about the same,
so a proper malting to produce the amylases and a good mashing to get the conversion done
should mean about the same weight of millet required as barley.
    This could be fun!

  11. First beer I bought was 1/6d, but it rapidly went up to 1/10d and the
shouting and grumbling that went on at the increased cost was soon
forgotten as it steadily climed to half a crown a pint. I didn't care as
each of my heard urned quids could still get me pissed.

Received, safe and sound thank you very much.

It even mended itself on the way home. I carried it on the bike, face
down beacuse of the glass. When I got home it was stuck fast back in the
    right place.

Do you want the 2ps back that are wedging the battery in? :)

Only so I could give 'em back to Andy up the road who Freegled me the
AVO in the first place - so probably no!

Pongs a bit, dunnit? It was a lot worse before I let it bake in the back
of the car for a week or two - which is probably what unglued the glass.

When you find out what model it is and get it working, let the shed know
    - it's the sort of thing upon which we thrive. (gawd, ain't it hard to
avoid having a preposition to end on?)
