ART exhausts 'n stuff

Which laptop?

Only, I had a hell of a job initially getting SuSE to behave on my Compaq
Evo 410c 'cause of ACPI related "fun".

Not 100% fixed to my liking yet, however, I seem to have cured its
penchant for powering-off at random intervals.

 

Compaq Armada M-700, still haven't sorted it, but there again I haven't
really tried. As the desktop is 'performing'.

17" Trust branded generic monitor, actually a SAMPO KM-710 or Alphascan 17M,
with Nvidia GeForce MX 400 card. After the screensaver has kicked in then
out the recovered 'screen' is complete but about 1/3rd of the previous
size, still 1024x768. I have to use the monitors "stretch and squish"
buttons to regain the full size.

Begining to piss me off a tad.

 

I've got an HP3300C and it works with Mandrake 9.1. I was that
fucking surprised it did that I fell off my chair.

Works with SANE supplied in 9.1 and I did a successful scan with one
of the programs Mandrake provide.
